Webinar - An Audience with Hans

Join us for an informal Q&A session about all things McKenzie related

 Join us for this 90 minute Q&A session with Hans van Helvoirt, Senior and International Teaching faculty. He has also published a series of articles most recently related to the treatment of radiculopathy (utilising MDT principles) with transforaminal injection and the classification of the 'OTHER' category. This evening session gives you the opportunity to hear about his experiences, ask Hans specifically about his research or have a general discussion about patient scenarios with Hans giving his expert opinion.

PRESENTER INFORMATION

Hans van Helvoirt is a physiotherapist, graduated in 1986 from the international academy 'Thim van der Laan' in Utrecht. He also obtained his manual therapy license 'Maitland Concept' in 1990 and graduated in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) McKenzie in 1992 in Wellington New Zealand.

In addition to other professional courses (Butler, Mulligan, Elvey, Comerfort, O' Sullivan) he completed a Masters in Arts in Psychology at the University Benelux in Antwerp and various coaching courses such as provocative coaching, 'inspiring coaching' and 'motivational interviewing'.

Since 1993 Hans has taught McKenzie courses in the Benelux, Europe, Russia, Canada, Iran and Brazil and has spoken at various international conferences on MDT and the place of MDT within the bio psychosocial context.

Within the McKenzie Institute International he serves on the Faculty Council, public health committee and was co-organizer of several international MDT conferences.

Hans works as a consultant at Rugpoli Brabant, in Tilburg, a center for manual medicine and anesthesiology. He also does scientific research in collaboration with VU Amsterdam concerning the interaction between MDT and Anesthesiology.
